On November 7, at around 6:00 PM, Venus and Jupiter are the two brightest planets in our sky shining at magnitude -4.0 and -2.1, respectively, while Pluto, the Dwarf Planet gleams at magnitude +14.1, as shown in Figure 1. Venus, Jupiter and Pluto will be found at about 23, 32, and 43 degrees above the south-southwestern horizon. Venus will be found among the background stars of the constellation Ophiuchus, the Sea-Serpent, while, Pluto and Jupiter will lie among the background stars of the constellation Sagittarius.
